BFFs! I know we are all getting ready for swimsuit season! It is right around the corner! I work out a lot, but no matter what, weight loss/weight gain is 75% what we eat. Since diet makes up 75%, you can workout a ton and still not get the body you may want if you don’t have a healthy diet and practice portion control.

Click Here To Calculate Your BMI. A healthy BMI score is between 20 and 25. A score below 20 indicates that you may be underweight; a value above 25 indicates that you may be overweight.
Portion control is important when eating healthy. “Portion control is understanding how much a serving size of food is and how many calories or how much food energy a serving contains. Portion control is important for body weight management as the weight is defined by the total calorie intake. Healthy eating, using Aristotle‘s philosophy, is the desirable middle between the extremes of excess and deficiency (over-eating and not eating enough), the “golden mean”. Portion control is eating a healthy balance of amount and types, of varied foods. (Wikipedia).” With the food you buy that comes packaged, read the nutrition segment and see how much of the product is one serving. I have been stunned when reading the nutritional info on a tiny package, finding out that it actually is 2 servings?! I mean?! It is important to practice portion control… what our parents call “everything in moderation.”

There are diets like the Beach Body 21 day fix diet. You get a guide, workouts and portion control containers to help you map out your meal. There are also portion control plates and containers with a guide on Amazon as well. There are tons of options if you feel like you need help portioning out your food. It also helps to just use a smaller plate. I’d rather look at a full small/salad plate than a half empty dinner plate. ** It is a better option to workout and eat well… but just know working out is not enough.
